About RofPm

RofPm is a Pottermore-related site for Ravenclaws. It was created by Sharon [UnicornWitch133] who, frustrated with how little Pottermore provided when it came to socialization and interaction, decided to create a place  for Ravenclaws and riddle lovers that could give us what Pottermore wouldn’t. RofPm started as a tumblr-based blog with a daily riddle that site users had to answer in order to enter, just like the canon Ravenclaw common room. However, it quickly became clear that the site needed more content than a couple of blogs and chats. It was then that Sharon and a team of regular RofPm users put together a monthly newsletter called The Eagle Enquirer. Shortly after, RofPm partnered with GryffinRoar, a similar Pottermore-related site for Gryffindors. The Great Hall Chat that existed at GryffinRoar was added to RofPm, creating a link between the two sites. But then, of course, it wouldn’t be a Great Hall without all four houses. A member of the RofPm staff, Emma [SparksProphecy86], took initiative, and upon finding that there were no active sites for Slytherins or Hufflepuffs, created Slytherins of Pottermore and Hufflepuffs of Pottermore. The two sites were then handed off to members of the appropriate houses, and thus RofPm became part of a four-site collaboration; a sort of unofficial online Hogwarts. But still, the staff felt RofPm could be improved. The tumblr format allowed little flexibility and so in January of 2012, Sharon launched an entirely new RofPm with a new format and much more content. The result of this major site update is the RofPm you see today. Have a look around and enjoy your visit!

Why can’t I get into the Secrets?

Yes. Although RofPm is designed to be a Ravenclaw site, it is open to all houses and anyone who can solve the riddle is welcome inside. However, if a non-Ravenclaw would like to use a site that pertains to his or her own house, there are Ravenclaw’s sister sites: GryffinRoar, Slytherins of Pottermore, and Hufflepuffs of Pottermore.

The Common Room Chat is available only to Ravenclaws. All other site areas are open to all, but in order to enter the Common Room Chat you must be a Ravenclaw on Pottermore. To receive the password, send an email to submit@rofpm.com telling us your Pottermore username. Your email MUST have “Application” as its subject. SparksProphecy86 will duel you, and to prove that the account is yours you must email us again specifying the spell she used and its potency. If you are correct, we will know you are a true Ravenclaw on Pottermore and your email will be added to a mailing list that we will use to send out the password and any password changes. Do not share the password with anyone as everyone must apply to receive the password. If you are not a member of Ravenclaw house, you will still be able to chat in the Great Hall and the Tinychat.

The Secrets pages are Pottermore help pages. Although the information is hardly secret, it is a fun way for Ravenclaws to find help and tips. The Secrets are available to anyone who can figure out the password, which must be solved alone. Good luck!
